The Hog Blog
Welcome to the Hog Blog!
I’m the captain of a rec league hockey team – the Puck Hogs - that plays in the Silver B division of the Adult Hockey League at Skatetown Roseville, in Roseville, California. You can find out more about the goings on of our team at our main site, http://www.puckhogs.net . For more about our hockey arena and league, visit the Skatetown Roseville hockey page .
I set up this blog as a place for me to opine and vent about all things hockey – whether it be related to the team I play on, my development as a player, or just about hockey in general. Instead of writing on the main team website, I thought it would be better to keep my opinions on a separate blog, since these are my opinions only, and not necessarily those of my team.
About me personally: I’m originally from Canada, and although I’ve been a hockey fan for years (I’m a diehard fan of the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks), I only started playing ice hockey when I came to California in 2004. Not really knowing how to skate, I did a couple of Skatetown’s “Learn to Play Hockey” programs (yes, I did the program twice!) and then joined a new team in the Summer of 2005, called the Foothill Flyers. In Summer 2007, I left the Flyers and a few of us at the rink joined up with some new players to our arena and created the Puck Hogs.
I still don’t really know how to skate.
I welcome your comments on this site, since I can never have enough hockey talk!
